COURSE OUTLINE

This subject aims to equip students with the essential information technology skills that might be used in their everyday personal lives and/or the workforce.  Students will learn how to develop routine solutions using computer technology to meet the needs of a particular audience.  Students are exposed to a variety of software that they may encounter at various stages of their lives.
In this subject the student may study:

  • Word Processing skills
  • File Management
  • Web Page Development
  • Internet & Email skills
  • Gaming
  • Publications for different audiences
  • PowerPoint Applications
  • Spreadsheet Applications including Graphing
  • Digital Images using a Digital Camera
  • Image Manipulation
  • Animation
Students should become proficient computer operators by becoming more familiar with the functions of the computer, keyboard shortcuts and presentation skills.
