Information and Communication Technologies is an Authority-Registered Subject

Rationale
Students are given the opportunity to:
- Use a range of commercial software programs (word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, graphics, web page design, multimedia).
- Develop, processes, knowledge and skills to use Information Technology effectively and responsibly through the design, development & evaluation process.
Students will be continually involved in using technology to become confident and competent users and consumers of Information & Communication Technology. There are no units of competency in this strand of Information and Communications Technology however students are able to enrol in Certificate I in IT at school and use assessment from this subject to address the competencies in the certificate course.

Course Outline
Year 11 - Image creation and Photo Editing (Illustrator); Basic Animation;
Managing Data (spreadsheets and data base); Document Production, (advanced word processing): Digital Video
Year 12 - Advanced Animation (Flash), Gamemaker; Website Development (Dreamweaver) incorporating Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator; Integrated Project using a range of skills from a variety of software with a specific client focus.
