Industrial Technology & Design
Formerly known as "Manual Arts", Industrial Technology and Design is wide ranging subject area that covers designing and manufacturing with industrial materials, as well as the use of graphics as a means of communication design and manufacturing information.
At Ayr State High School we aim to develop an awareness of different materials, tools and processes as well as developing the practical skills required to succeed in workshop based activities.
Wherever possible, the "Design Process" is incorporated into class activities and projects to cater for individual creativity and ingenuity.
The graphic communication subjects aim to develop the student's knowledge of current industry practice and skill at communicating effectively through manual drafting, sketching, and the use of current industry standard software.
