In Year 10, students visit the RAAF Museum, Jezzine Barracks Museum and the Townsville Museum and Historical Society. This will compliment their study of Australia's involvement in the two major conflicts of the twentieth century.
Students in Year 10, who achieve well in this subject, have the opportunity to participate in the Young Diplomat Program run by JCU.
- This year, Anna Griffiths, Alyx Whitman, Jennifer and Rebecca Gublane, are involved and are currently researching and writing their speeches to be presented on Diplomat Day in August.
Students can also participate in the Crime Stoppers Youth Challenge competition. Last years Year 8 group came second in the state in their age category.
